Week 10, Trip to Durham

Week when I felt like I didn't get anything done and I was struggling with the assignments. I spend almost all the time either watching interesting series in Netflix or wondering how to continue with my school woks. Luckily, Monday wasn't so bad and I spend my evening at Stockport Climbing centre.

I continued my shoe project at school and cut the pieces from foam with Nina's help. I had to do the workshop introduction lessons first, after that I could use workshop. After these busy hours I went again climbing and way back I finally looked up the small beautiful church I were looking for a long time. I also got some free stuff from Uni, like palette knives, circle ruler and super glue.

Finally free stuff I like and need!

The Light of the Hill - church

At the weekend I had train trip to Durham through Carlisle and Newcastle. My main point for that trip was to see the Durham Cathedral and the cloister which was used in Harry Potter films. The trip was success! Durham was lovely, small, hilly town and full of old buildings and narrow roads. We didn't spent any more time at Durham than needed and rushed back to the Newcastle.

There was few things to see in Newcastle, and all those attractions were near each other, I only took pictures and I didn't go inside the buildings. Just wanted to see as much places as possible. There was many bridges and old pieces of castle I saw near the river. Newcastle also had awesome looking Sage Gateshead concert venue and Gateshead Millennium bridge. After these places, my partner wanted to walk to the big shopping centre which was maybe 4 miles away from the city centre. It was a long walk....

One of the nicest blue bridges I've seen.

Way back to Preston was hard. I was feeling so tired waking up so early and having full day in new place. At Sunday, I should have had Three peak challenge trip in Yorkshire, but I didn't feel so well at that morning. Good choice for me, others didn't get even halfway cause heavy rain and wind. I didn't miss so much.
